The nearest airports from Lucca are Pisa International Airport "Galileo Galilei" and Florence International Airport "Amerigo Vespucci".

From Pisa Airport to Lucca

The easiest way to get to Lucca is to take a taxi just outside the airport for a cost of approximately 50 Euro.

As an alternative, the airport has a small train station attached to connect Pisa Airport to Pisa Central Station where you will find connections to Lucca Station. Trains from Pisa Central Station to Lucca Station run approximately every 30 minutes through the day. From Florence Airport to Lucca

Once again the easiest way to get to Lucca is to take a taxi just outside the airport for an approximate cost of no less than 80 Euro.

The first alternative is to take a city line bus to the Train Station of Santa Maria Novella, in order to take a train connection to Lucca. By Car

From Northern Italy:

  • Highway A11: Bologna - Firenze (Florence) - Pisa Nord, exit at Lucca Est
  • Highway A12: Genova (Genoa) - Livorno (Leghorn) , enter the A11 Highway at Viareggio (direction Firenze), exit at Lucca Est.

From Southern Italy:

  • Highway A1: Roma (Rome) - Milano (Milan), enter the A11 Highway (Firenze - Pisa Nord), at Florence (direction Pisa Nord), exit at Lucca Est.
